PUC Graduation 2008, originally uploaded by xtwidx

Its crazy. All this fuss over graduation. We have 3 days of ceremonies saying how great we are and how proud the school is of us. I know…I know its mostly for the parents, but still, wouldn’t a nice card suffice. When i graduate i just want them to give me the diploma and lets move on with life. I grow more and more tired of school and having to fulfill assignments. Don’t get me wrong i want to be continually a student and continually learning, but this whole school thing just brings me down. To stressful.

Although it does provide a lot of nice picture opportunities. =D

Spare the Air Day 6/19/08

June 19, 2008

I was on a trip into SF to pick up my dad and sister from SFO and i noticed a big electronic billboard saying that tomorrow, (today as i write this now) is Spare the Air Day in SF. In an effort to do their part ecowise, the city of San Francisco is making all public transport completely FREE. Not only does this in itself cut down on emissions and reduce the use of oil and create less smog, but it may help to introduce some people to the benefits of public transportation, and hopefully encourage them to use it in the future. this could be the start of many new habits for commuters everywhere.

I for one, am all for it. So tomorrow, if you happen to live in the city. Take some public transportation. MuniBus and light rail systems will be free all day. While utilities like BART, AirBART, CALtrail, ACE train, Amtrack Capitol Corridor trains and the local Ferries will be free until 12 o’clock noon. Whenever i go to the city i prefer to take the public transportation system, avoid the fares on the bridges as well as help the environment. Every little bit helps. Or so i like to tell myself. Besides driving in the city can be a hassle sometimes. And public transport just makes things so simple.

giants game

May 13, 2008

Saturday i did the unthinkable. I went to a baseball game on the “holy day.” I took a car ride down to SF to see my favorite baseball team the SF giants. They won 8-2. Tim Lincecum, my favorite pitcher was incredible. It was fun to watch him work on the field. Its funny how people make such a big deal about not doing anything that isn’t praying or reading the Bible on the sabbath, but these people are some of the words most judgmental people i have ever seen within the doors of the church. I have gone through a crisis as of late with my church as it is the place that i identify with. It has accepted me for the most part. However i cannot feel guilted that because i go to a baseball game on the Sabbath i will be shunned. or that i should be by the church. Maybe its good to break the rules once in a while though. I dont really understand how in a school setting such as this, they expect us to not do anything on saturdays. Saturdays have become my day to catch up on sleep, just plain relax, catch up on homework, or even take a little bit of leasuire time for myself.

Maybe its sad, but thats how i’ve figured out how to get by in college.

Things are looking bad…for our church.

May 10, 2008

So i was reading a friends blog and i ran across this news story.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/05/06/sect.leader.arrest/index.html

This cult was created by past members of, you guessed it, The SDA church. My church. Their Messiah has been arrested on sex charges. This cult and its leader promote insect, and sex with minors. The cult was formed in 1987 I just find this sad our church cannot get a break. People are always leaving it and then creating some odd offshoot cult that goes postal. a la Waco Texas. I cant wait for this world to be over. I’m not the hellfire and brimstone type, but i hope to god this silliness will just end soon.

Iph Week 3

April 21, 2008

~Plomio Anger Today we had rehearsal. This was not just any rehearsal this was an 8 hour, count um 8 hour rehearsal for Iphigenia 2.0. During the course of these three weeks, i have discovered:

The military is not so bad. Its just the politicians that are.
I still don’t want to join up.
I am scared of new things.
I am perhaps the most un-flexable person in the world.
I cannot dance.
not even a bit.

We still have so much to do, but not enough time. I am really worried that i will be unable to perform at the level of the actors when it comes to the dancing. I guess i will just have to make up for in in my text work, and in the other sections of the play. i do look forward to rehearsal but i do not look forward to the dances. =(.

here is a tracklist for the play so far. I have these on repeat in my itunes.

Toy Soldiers by Eminem
Mamma said knock you out by LL Cool J
End of the Road by Boys II Men
The Great Bouzouki by Krid P.
Girls just wanna have fun (cover) by Kill the Young.

pretty sure these songs will be stuck in my head forever.

i am an idiot.

April 14, 2008

so i was just drinking a protein shake that i made in my crystal geyser water bottle. (yay for recycling) and i noticed that the mountain on the front has always looked familiar to me. So i turn the bottle on the side and what do i find. I find a diagram that is labeled Mt. Shasta. So i take a short trip on the interweb and quickly find that yes, in fact crystal geyser is bottled in Mt. Shasta. I have lived about 50 minuets from this fine mountain for the last 10 years of my life. What is even funnier is i have been drinking this bottled water for even longer. AND I NEVER PUT 2 AND 2 TOGETHER.

i know i just blogged. but this stunned me.
